As soon as I tried out this mascara I knew I had to write a blog post about it. I fell in love with this product instantly, and at £4.99 it is such a bargain!
This is the Barry M Feature Length Mascara. Can we just admire the packaging for a second – the rose gold colour is gorgeous, and it feels rather expensive and luxurious for a drugstore mascara that cost under £5. I think this is because the tube is made out of metal not plastic. The writing and pretty swirly pattern on the lid have also stayed in place and not rubbed off over time which is a bonus!
I really like the brush too. It is plastic and rather thin which I personally prefer as I find larger brushes harder to control, particularly when it comes to coating the little lashes in the corners of my eyes.
One thing that surprised me with this though was the staying power. This isn’t advertised as a waterproof mascara but blimey this stuff doesn’t budge. It has stayed strong throughout bouts of hay fever tears, rain and hot weather – even makeup wipes. I find the best way to remove this is with an oil cleanser (the Garnier oil infused micellar water is good).
I like how this doesn’t clump up the lashes either and it looks fairly natural with one coat, or it can be built up for a more dramatic look!
Have you tried this mascara? What were your thoughts?
