Hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend.
I decided to take a few days off work this week to just chill and do some exploring and I thought I’d document it in a blog post because I don’t usually get the opportunity to blog about my week (normally you’d just get me sitting in an office, eating and then watching youtube).
Monday and Tuesday were normal work days so I’ll gloss over those days, but on Wednesday my boyfriend and I decided to take a trip to York for the day. I grew up in Yorkshire so it was so nice to visit somewhere that felt like home.
I love how traditional and beautiful York is. The weather was nice so we had a little picnic in the Minster gardens and drank tea.
We later explored the shops and as usual we ended up in Waterstones (best shop ever). I didn’t buy any books but I did treat myself to one of the new water bottles from Pret. I love the cute watermelon design.
I had to attend an all day conference for work on Thursday so I’ve no photos from that day, but I had the following Friday off so we did the usual food shop and I popped into Primark and picked up this cushion for £2 in the sale. Miffy was one of my childhood favourites so I couldn’t resist.
I also took advantage of the sales while the shops were empty. I only intended to browse but ended up buying this stripe t-shirt, a new GAP sweatshirt and a black denim skirt (ignore the state of my apartment).
I don’t usually get the chance to make myself nice lunches in the week so I decided to make avocado and salmon toast. It tasted amazing!
Speaking of delicious food, my boyfriend and I went out for our first ever date night since moving to the city. I’d never had a Frankie and Benny’s before so we went for pizza and I had this yummy waffle for dessert.
Afterwards we went to the cinema to watch Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
Saturday was a really chill day and I mostly watched YouTube, read, did some coursework and watered my plants.
I hope you enjoyed this little insight into my week. Are you looking forward to the week ahead?
Thank you for reading!
