Happy December to you all. I can’t believe it is nearly Christmas soon eeeek!
Anyway, if you’re anything like me, you will know how annoying this winter weather is for dull, dry skin. I usually use a scrub twice a week to keep my skin soft and bright, so I decided to give this All Bright Hibiscus Purifying Face Scrub a try as I have seen a lot of bloggers using Botanics products recently.
This products claims to “buff away dull skin in seconds” to reveal “clean”, “smooth” and “radiant” skin. It contains hibiscus and flower acids to help brighten and refine the skins texture.
This product is rather gentle and did not irritate my skin at all. Immediately, my face felt soft and smooth and any dry flakes were gone. As for its brightening effect, I didn’t notice a huge difference, maybe with long term use it will be more visible.
I also loved the smell of this. It has a peachy/ apricot scent, but it’s not too overpowering.
I purchased mine on offer, so I got it half price, but I’m not sure I would pay full price (£5.49) for it. I did enjoy using it, but I feel like there are cheaper ones out there that equally do a good job.
What are your favourite face scrubs?

Last weekend I moved into my first ever flat which was so exciting! I couldn’t wait to start decorating and I literally spent hours drooling over home-wear sites and Pinterest. Primark have some amazing, inexpensive items at the moment so I thought I would show you a few things I picked up. It’s a good old mix of home-wear, beauty and accessories!
Artificial Plants – I’m obsessed with plants but I cannot keep one alive at all so these were the perfect solution! I think the prices ranged from £3 to £5.
Lipstick – I had been wanting a brown/rose colour lipstick for ages so I snapped this up pretty quickly when I saw it was only £1.50.
Copper Door Hooks – Pretty self explanatory but how cute do they look? I love the colour.
Fairy Lights – I thought these would look really pretty wrapped around a large plant or on the wall to create a nice cosy atmosphere.
Cushion – This was only £3, and the little yellow pom poms really stand out against the monochrome cushion.
Hair Ties – These are the only curly/plastic hair ties that actually go round my thick hair and stay in place!
Umbrella – I moved to Manchester and I have quickly gathered that it rains A LOT so this was an essential.
Mini Shoulder Bag – for £5 this is perfect for nights out or day trips where you don’t need to take a lot out with you.
Nails – Everyone seems to rave over the Primark false nails so I caved and decided to give them a try myself. They are good but I think I needed to add more glue as some of them fell off after an hour.
Copper Storage Boxes – I couldn’t resist these little boxes. They will look lovely on a shelf to keep bits and pieces organised.
That’s everything I purchased on my trip to Primark. I could have bought soooo much more though! Definitely go check out their home section if you get the chance.
Thank you for reading and have a lovely day!
I’ve been meaning to write this post for soooo long but starting my full time job last week meant I’ve had to postpone it for a bit. Anyway I’ve finally found a bit of free time so I’ll get right into it and let you know whether this little guy is worth purchasing!
What first attracted me to this was how convenient and easy it is to use. I’m a bit of a naughty beauty blogger who can never really be bothered with primer, so the idea that I could just do a few quick sprays and fix my makeup for the day really appealed to me.
I love how refreshing this feels on my face (it really wakes you up in the morning), and it has a lovely rose smell to it. From my experience it didn’t take too long to dry down once applied and it really didn’t feel like I was wearing anything, although that’s probably because half of it went into my hair and clothes haha (I’m rubbish when it comes to spray products).
My makeup applied really well over it and it stayed put pretty well throughout the day. I didn’t notice any dramatic change as opposed to days where I chose to wear no primer, but it certainly didn’t make my makeup look any worse.
I think for £2.50 this is worth a try as it is fairly inexpensive, especially compared to other primer waters/sprays on the market. Let me know in the comments whether you have tried this, and if you loved it or not I’d be curious to know.
Thank you for reading, and have a lovely day!
